Vertex 450 Improvements:
- Fixed a corner case issue with DDR corruption on 480GB capacity drives
- Improved robustness of uncorrectable error handling
- Improved read retry on bad block list
- Further improvements with ATA password handling
- Fixed a corner case issue with resuming from sleep
- Fixed an issue where secure erase required a power cycle to fully flush data
- Improvements to TRIM handling
- Fixed an issue with SMART not recording power on hours correctly in some cases
- Improvements to unexpected power loss handling
- Numerous stability and reliability improvements
OCZ Toolbox Improvements:
- Added formal support for Saber 1000, including additional SMART attributes
- Several host interop issues resolved
- Fixed potential failure to recognise update of enterprise firmware whose version number ended with 'E'
- SMART attribute table columns rationalised to only provide information supported by the drive
- Trim now correctly reports errors if it fails
- Trim operation corrected for file systems and distributions where it would previously have failed
- Option to create bootable media to update a BIOS for a system drive now performs BIOS update correctly
- Option to create USB bootable media to update a system drive now works reliably
- Additional information now provided in many error messages
- Bootable Toolbox no longer locks up when using Settings dialog multiple times
- Drives should now be reliably displayed in Bootable Toolbox once booted
Unified Bootable Toolbox ISO image now provided, replacing the separate Mac and PC Bootable Toolboxes. This can be used for:
- both PC and Apple Macintosh operation
- booting from CD or USB memory stick (See the User Guide for more information)
Bootable Toolbox and the boot media for system drives created by Toolbox:
- support a wider range of motherboards
- support SAS adapters and the RevoDrive 350
- Support operation of trackpads
Known Issues:
- Running Toolbox from a Linux command line may display a warning message "QT: session management error" in some Linux distributions. This message can be safely ignored.
- Bootable Toolbox operation can be unreliable on some hosts if the keyboard, mouse and monitor are connected via a KVM
- Bootable Toolbox does not support all Intel wireless adapters or Atheros wired network adapters
- Some older Apple Macintosh cannot boot from USB for Bootable Toolbox
- Bootable Toolbox may fail to update firmware on some Apple Macintosh if booting from CD, although booting from USB works correctly
